Dan Mangan Comes Out of Hybernation

Dan Mangan, whose 2007 debut ‘Postcards and Daydreaming’ won wide critical acclaim is back for another round in 2009. First of all you can check out his new website at danmanganmusic.com where you will learn everything I'm about to tell you. If you've decided to stay here and read on anyway Dan also has a new EP on the way, and a number of live dates coming up.

The new EP 'Roboteering' coming in March, and a new full-length album "Nice, Nice, Very Nice" coming in August. Mangan also has an all-star roster of collaborators for the new project(s). The track listing for the EP reads:

1. Robots
2. The Indie Queens Are Waiting
3. Sold
4. Till I Fall
5. Tragic Turn Of Events / Move Pen Move (with Shane Koyczan)

According to an email from Mangan:
The first three tracks are from the upcoming LP and include the fine talents of Veda Hille, Mark Berube and Mark Sasso (of Elliott Brood). 'Till I Fall' is from my earliest demo, re-vamped last year with friend Julian Fane. 'Tragic/Move' is a collaboration of music, lyrics and spoken word with the wonderfully talented Shane Koyczan.
You can hear the first track 'Robots' at the close of the CBC Radio 3 Valentines Day Podcast or on his new website.
