The first shout out on this list goes to the Bicycles for having the coolest CD release party.

"VERY excited. Our second album, Oh No It's Love, will be in stores November 4th. We've been working hard on it for the past year, and we're very proud of it. Run right out and get a copy! Or, better yet, come to our CD Release Party at Lee's Palace in Toronto! Saturday November 8th. Young Rival, our friends from Hamilton, will be opening and celebrating the Toronto release of their awesome self-titled EP. Then we'll play every song from our new album, as well as a very special reprise of "The Last Schmaltz": the Bicycles backing up great local bandleaders. Beyond the Bikes Serena Ryders new CD "is it o.k" will have it's CD release show at the Mod Club on November 19. Serena too has other tour dates but they are all in the U.S. so who cares?

Finally Jill Barber's new CD 'Chances' will ship on October 14. Barber's disc, written with Ron Sexsmith and Les Cooper is getting strong reviews (and justifiably from what I've heard off the CD)
