Another Round: the Periodic Call for Writers

Every so often I send out one of these - letting people know that publicbroadcasting.ca is, always, looking for writers.

So here are the basics:

  • What does it pay? Nothing at all, publicbroadcasting.ca costs money to produce but doesn't bring any in, there is nothing to pay people with.

  • What do you want me to write about? Anything you like - stuff you do, stuff your friends do, things you like, things you don't like - basically anything you care enough to write about ... It's primarily Canadian and about Canadian stuff but that's not a hard and fast rule, just a guideline. You write what you like, about anything you like, as often as you like.

  • So what are the hard and fast rules? First, be Canadian - or at least a landed immigrant, permanent resident or Canadian living abroad. Second, don't do anything that is actually against the law. Other than that...no rules, no editor, no deadlines.
  • How do I sign up?? Just get in touch with me get me an email address and we'll take it from there.

  • Fair warning: believe it or not this is harder than it sounds - lots of people sign up, very few post at all, and most of those that do post only rarely.
