Library Voices Would Like Their Gear Back (Please?)

The young and far from wealthy Library Voices are the latest in a long-long line of musicians to get their gear stolen. In case anyone out there doesn't understand, anyone who steals gear, or buys or sells stolen gear is anti-art, and anti-music and should be boycotted completely (even from your xmas card list).

More Stolen Gear

The crime spree in stolen gear continues and while it appears that 'stolen music' is actually good for the business. Stolen gear definitely is not. The theft in montreal of the Stooges gear has created an outpouring of support and publicity (currently 226 results on Google News) but this is becoming an all too frequent occurrence across North America. Last week it was Wintersleep in Baton Rouge, Louisianna and simply typing the phrase "Music Stolen Gear -stooges" (which means without the recent furor over the Montreal incident) will yield 246,000 results. If you know anyone involved in these things, seriously turn them in for the love of music.

Black Halos Robbed in Montreal

The epidemic of gear theft coninues this time it's the Black Halos and Montreal (again). According to the Black Halos Myspace Blog on Sunday night theives stole their Van, Trailer, all of their gear, merch and CDs. Below is the info in it's entirity:

Last night in Montreal our van and trailer was stolen with all our our gear, merch and CD..s. None of these items are insured.

Below is a list of gear that was stolen. PLEASE WATCH FOR ANY OF THESE ITEMS on the internet or at pawn shops.

Please also note we had close to 400 CD..s stolen with our merch. IF YOU SEE THE CD..S ("WE ARE NOT ALONE") FOR SALE ON ANY WEBSITE OTHER THAN HISTORY MUSIC, PEOPLE LIKE YOU OR ACETATE SITES PLEASE E-MAIL US.
