Video Tour Diary: Will Currie and the Country French

If you're one of the few people that really think Canadian musicians ride around in limos, eat at 4 star restaraunts and shop at expensive boutiques, there is evidence to the contrary. Thanks to inexpensive easy to use digital video, there is a growing collection of video documentary that shows the reality: 7 people sleeping in a hotel room, eating sandwiches in the van and shopping at army surplus stores.

If you read this blog on any kind of regular basis you already know about the Superfantastics Video Blog (or you should). Now Will Currie and the Country French have started their own video blog, or vLog if you will, you can follow all of the 'action' (such as it is) on YouTube or Facebook.

It sometimes looks like this:

Superfantastic Video Blog

I've been negligent. The Superfantastics have actually been Videoblogging again for awhile now and, again, rather than just post them all I've added the feed to the main (front page) publicbroadcasting.ca page.

The Return of Jim Dupree

One of the earliest video podcasts in Canada was the wildly popular Jim Dupree: Enthusiast in which Jim Dupree would tell us about his enthusiam for things such as Gardening, Time Travel, Body Building and Anne of Green Gables. The comedy lay in the fact that, although enthusiastic, he actually didn't know much about his topics. Then about a year and a half ago Jim Dupree became less enthusiastic, the plug was pulled and everyone thought that was all. At some point in the recent past Jim Dupree has rediscovered his enthusiasm for enthusiasm and the show is back with a vengeance - 2 new episodes since Feb. 2 and two more due by Friday.

Jim Dupree is once again in the CanCasts and, if you decide to watch it it sometimes looks like this:

A Galacticast Halloween

Rudy and Casey at Galacticast have outdone themselves again.

The Real World: Amityville

Rudy and Casey are also doing a live interview tonight at 9pm EST (6pm PST) on Jonny's Par-tay. http://jonnygoldstein.comYou can even take part by asking questions in the chat room, or even show up on camera if you log in to http://Operator11.com

Superfantactic +

So here's the deal, I told you awhile back about the Superfantastics Video (tour) Blog - the thing is that every time they post a new one, I feel like I should tell you about it again. So, instead of doing that, I'm doing this: For the duration of the tour, I'm including the Superfantastics video blog feed in the main publicbroadcasting.ca feed - so now they will show up automatically and, if you like, you can pretend that I posted something about it. =)

Galacticast Returns

Rudy Jahchan and Casey McKinnon have been away from Galacticast for a bit, primarily doing A Comic Book Orange, but on August 6 they'll be back with Season 2 of Galacticast.
