Top 10 Live Venues in Canada revealed on Radio 3

The Top 10 venues in CBC Radio 3's spotlight search have been revealed and are not what you'd expect. Every venue in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver is out but there are still 6 in Ontario (2 in New Brunswick and one each in PEI and Sask.

I have no idea what happened to Montreal and Vancouver. For Toronto though I've heard two explanations: One is that there are so many venues here that the vote was hopelessly split. The other explanation is that Torontonians are simply too apathetic about such things. I think it's a bit of both but more of the latter. It's not that we don't have amazing venues, but the general level of apathy keeps Torontono from having the best venue. I can safely say that Toronto does not appreciate what it has culturally and it takes a certain amount of enthusiasm to be 'the best' anything.
